When you register

Sheetmailer needs to identify you when you are logged in and needs to make sure it would be able to contact you. The easiest way to do this is by storing your email address. Your email address is stored only in our database and never leaves the hosting server. We will not sell or publish your email address. We will only contact you in emergencies.

When you upload a spreadsheet

Sheetmailer reads and stores the content of the spreadsheet. The data never leaves the hosting server. The data is not analyzed or interpreted in any way other than to provide the service.

When you connect to Gmail

Sheetmailer allows you to use Gmail as a sender service. It receives your email address and the permission to send emails on your behalf from Google. The email address is only used for sending your emails. The permission to send emails is only used if you explicitely choose to send emails from sheetmailer.

When you connect to Outlook/Exchange/Office 365

Sheetmailer allows you to use Microsoft services as a sender. It get the permission to send emails on your behalf. The permission to send emails in only used if you explicitely choose to send emails from sheetmailer.

When you send a mailing

Sheetmailer reads the spreadsheet content and sends the mail over your selected service. To deliver the emails, sheetmailer needs to pass the senders address, the recipients address and the email content to the delivery service. Please see their respective privacy policies below for more information.

When you delete a mailing

Sheetmailer deletes your mailings permanently, including all associated information and spreadsheets you uploaded.

When you delete your account

Sheetmailer deletes all your account data, including all mailings, uploaded sheets, deliveries, payment- and login data.

Logging

Sheetmailer logs server requests, including IP addresses and the request URLs for debugging purposes. The log data never leaves the server and is only used for manual debugging.

Data protection

Sheetmailer tries to protect your data as good as possible, including using the following layers:

  • Data transmitted over the internet is protected by a HTTPS connection
  • No analytics application like Google Analytics is used
  • Third party components are automatically checked for vulnerabilities
  • Data you request to delete is deleted, not merely hidden

Controlling entities and hosting

Sheetmailer is owned and operated by Codefabrik, a limited liability company based in Bern, Switzerland. The service is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany on Hetzner servers.
